House and baby updates...

Well, much to my surprise I actually have friends that read this blog! : ) One of them took me out to lunch today -- thanks again, Lori! It was yummy! So, since she's updated already I thought I'd take a moment to update the rest of you! We close on the house Tuesday, the 15th as planned. Then the next day we have a company refinishing the office/den floor and the dining room floor. (The 100+ year old wood floor needs some love!) While they are doing that Nathan and anyone willing to help will paint the rec. room (actually the kid's play room and school room). The next night the carpet cleaning people will clean the rec. room, living room, the upstairs hallway and mom's bedroom. Then the following weekend and early the next week we will paint the kid's bedrooms and master bedroom. We also need to order the washer and dryer and refrigerator as well as getting some other items for the house such as a new back door, light for the dining room and room darkening shades for the bedrooms (gotta love those...even though the sun comes up at 5 am in the summer we can sleep peacefully!). Then on the 25th we should have the carpet installed in the bedrooms by a really neat company. They are actually a Christian owned company and they have a been a joy to work with. The carpet is actually made out of recycled soda bottles...and it looks, feels, and costs like regular 'ol carpet, too. It's more stain resistant -- gotta love that! Hopefully we can move in Saturday the 26th. Now, the move in date kind of depends on if our little bundle holds off on his/her entrance until May.

Speaking of new bundle...in the past I've had a wonderful nurse midwife that delivered Hannah, Isaac, Lydia and Elijah (at the hospital). (Noah and Bekah were born in Maryland.) Unfortunately, due to new (and irritating) hospital regulations she can't deliver this one since our first, Noah, was a c-section. So I've had to go to our family doctor. All visits have gone well but our family doctor is uncomfortable with those new regulations, too, so now I have to go to an Obstetrician. Friends at church highly recommended one so I visited him on Wednesday. That visit went well and he seems very confident that another non-cesarean birth will be very possible. I go again on Wednesday (16th) so please pray for a good visit...and pray for energy for packing and doing the day to day things that are very difficult for me right now. I haven't been this tired and sore with any of our other babies.

Thanks to all of you who read this and pray for us. We need it!
