Mint people

Tonight as Daddy was getting Elijah ready for bed he ran downstairs and said (what sounded like) "mint people". I said "what?". He repeated. Then Daddy followed downstairs and said "Tell Nana". Elijah sheepishly said to my mom "mint people". Daddy said "yes, He made people." (Lightbulb turned on -- Oh!!! I get it now! "mint" was "made"!) Then Daddy said "what else did God make?". Elijah said "made animals, made...(pause with a growing grin)...rainbow"! He was so happy! (He saw this rainbow a few weeks ago and loved it...for days he would point out the window afterward and say "God made rainbow!!) Turns out that while getting ready for bed Daddy was asking Elijah who God made and it turned into this list...very sweet! As busy as this little two year old is I'm very glad he's listening!
